Heartfelt Creations Sweet Serenity

 In my card today I used the new Butterfly and Bunny PreCut set.  There is nothing sweeter than a chocolate bunny for Easter.

Spellbinders – 5” x 7” Matting Basics – A, Ribbon Banners Large, Labels Twenty-Eight, 5” x 7” Enchanted Labels 28 Cuttlebug Embossing Folder – Geometric Rings

Paper: PTI Lemon Tart, CTMH Petal, Watercolor Paper  

Ink: Ranger Archival Sepia, CTMH Brown Bag, Distress - Brushed Corduroy, Scattered Straw, Mowed Lawn, Lindys Stamp Gang mica Ramblin’Rose Pink, Opal Sea Oats, Oak Leaf Olive, Indian Summer Turquoise.

USArtquest Min Prills – Lemon Chiffon, Tu-Tu Pink, Lavender & Lace, Water Color Brush,  Copic – V15, Pearl topped stick pin and additional pearls, CTMH Color Ready Ribbon, Clear Glue, Hot Glue Gun and Permanent Tape  

Directions:

Fold a 5” x 7” card base out of Lemon Tart, cut a 5” x 7” piece of Lemon Tart and dry emboss distress edges. Cut the Largest Enchanted Labels 28 out of Petal, cut a Label Twenty Eight out of Posy Collection Paper, wrap a piece of ribbon around die cut and layer on Enchanted Labels 28. Stamp the Bunny on watercolor paper and color with inks and mica paints when dry cut with Enchanted Labels 28 and sponge with Mowed Lawn. Stamp and cut Posy Patch flowers from Posy Patch Paper, Lemon Tart and Petal. Stamp and cut Botanical Florals from water color paper and color with mica paints. When flowers are dry shape them and attach prills to center with clear glue. Stamp and cut small leaves from watercolor paper and color with die and mica paint. Attach the Bunny to layer using Double Dots.  Stamp Believe on watercolor paper then cut with Large Banner Die and sponge with distress inks. Make two stick pins with pearls. Color the White Pearl with Copic Marker.  Make a bow and attach to card. Layer flowers as shown using hot glue gun to attach. Sponge all layers edges with Brushed Corduroy before assembly.

Linda, your card called out to me from the HC blog this afternoon. I knew it was yours right off the bat because of the golds - somehow, I just knew LOL - LOVE your chocolate Easter bunny - so sweet - and the wonderful texture in the background looks just like the inside of an Easter Basket filled with the chocolate and candy flowers. BTW, I ordered those little posies today - can hardly wait til they arrive. For some reason, I didn't realize there were 8 flowers on the die itself, making for less time to "crank" the machine and trigger my icky stuff LOL. Love all the colors and dimension in your card, Linda. Thanks for the inspiration! hugs, de

Jaw dropping gorgeous!! The colors are just so beautiful together!! I'm catching up on visiting favorite blogs finally... sorry to be awol for a while but you know how crazy life can get and I'm trying to stay active more instead of glued to my computer. LOL
