Art Papers Online Postcard Swap

I participated in a Postcard Swap held by Art Papers Online. I have been fortunate to have visited Venice, Italy  twice, both times unforgettable. Here is my postcard with the highlights.... a Venetian Mask, the Grand Canal, Murano Glass, Gondola's,  Gondoliers and  Saint Mark's Square.

 Stamped with distress ink.

I  painted Verde Gris Perfect Glaze on the front of the postcard  then let dry. Adhered picture of the Grand Canal after I painted it with PPA and added Mica and Crystal Effects.  I used a stencil and Light 101 Artist Cement  to add my butterfly's then painted with Mica Color.  I cut out the Venetian Mask with a Spellbinders die and  coated with Duo then when tacky covered with Gliden Glitz. I  made flowers and added Prills with PPA Gloss. I used the gold from the Mica Color to paint gold around the edges.

Art Papers Online products used: Post Card, Duo, PPA - gloss, Mini Prills – Lettuce Entertain You and You Had Me At Yellow, Mica D’Lights, Crystal EffectsLight 101 Artist Cement, Gilden Glitz, Mica Color -  Metallic, Perfect Glaze – Verde Gris

Happy Birthday Girlfriend

Every year my best friend Chickie has a birthday. Chickie and I have been friends since kindergarten  and that is a long time, 50 years.  This is for Chickie....

I free handed the bodice (you can find templates on line) and ran it through a Spellbinders M- Bossabilities folder named Splendid.  The lace, flowers and leaves are Heartfelt Creations. The sentiment on the outside is from Crafty Secrets and the inside of the card is Heartfelt Creations.  I used Spellbinders  5 X 7  Matting Basics , Elegant Labels Four and Labels Four. The center of the flowers are Prills from USArt Quest with a pearl.  My ribbon is color ready ribbon from Close To My Heart which I dye with re-inkers.

...and Chickie loved her card.

Heartfelt Creations....Friends never say goodbye!

Today is my last post for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team. It has been a wonderful year on my journey. Heartfelt Creations  stamps, dies, beautiful papers and designers have never failed to inspire me.  Today I have two cards for you, one from the Sweet Juliet Collection and one from a few of my favorites.

When I get new stamps and dies I hold them at all different angles to see what I can see. Here a teacup is also a skirt or dress and a heart is also a bodice and look, a corner die is lace......

Please stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog for instructions and to see what the designers have for you.

Thank you so very much for your patronage.  As they say on the popular show, Duck Dynasty...she gone'

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday Inspiration Tag

Today I have for you a tag made using Heartfelt Creations stamps from the Sweet Juliet Collection. For the beautiful background on this tag I used the Acrylic Distress technique which can be found at Split Coast Stampers.  As you can see the flower spray in the Recovery Wishes PreCut Set is very versatile. I stamped it on the bottom of the tag up the sides and across the top. When you stamp  the flowers close they almost look like Wisteria vine.

Here is a close up  of the flowers on the tag.

Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Collection

Heartfelt Creations is pleased to introduce the Sweet Juliet Collection. This collection is inspired by the beauty of ancient rooms locked away and laden with antique treasures.  These rooms are filled with yellow candlelight and dusty vases. Crinkly letters lay scattered around, turning crisp and fading more every day.  A postcard lays covered in thick dust, forgotten in a dark corner.  Wildflowers lay around, as crisp and crinkled as the beautiful wallpapers.  Using these detailed floral and typographical stamps, complemented by black, gold and burgundy papers will enable you to create an outstanding classical creation.

Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by October 15th and you will be eligible to win the entire collection valued at $150.

Here I used the Sweet Juliet flower die in two different ways, once flat and once curled up. For the leaves I chose to go with the Tattered Blossoms PreCut Stamp and Coordinating Die.

Please stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog and see how the designers have used the Sweet Juliet Collection.

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday Inspirations...."Make new friends but keep the old one is silver and the other gold"

It is that time of year when Heartfelt Creations has to select a few of their stamp sets and dies and move them to **Limited Edition** status.  These stamps, dies and paper collection will be available  thru 12/31/13.  Look over the **Limited Edition** selections and put the ones you can not  do with out on your wish list.   I have a few that are on  mine too. Today I used the HCPC 3486 Organic Fillers PreCut Set and HCPC 3485 Ornamental Raspberries PreCut Set along with the coordinating die HCD724 Classic Editions Die which is not a Limited Edition Die.

Heartfelt Creations  stamp set HCPC 3486 Organic Fillers PreCut Set is so versatile. The Berry Cluster could be an orange bittersweet, goose berries, currants and other berries with your imagination.  The Pomegranate could be a rose hip, goose berry or start of a tree fruit. The Stem Spray is a great filler green to any arrangement.  Also included in the set is a nice plump Raspberry which could be a blackberry, salmon berry or yellow raspberry.

I just feel so good when I can get more then one use out of a stamp and that happens when I just take  the time to look  into the beauty of nature that surrounds me.
