My background is made using the Acrylic Distress Technique found at Split Coast Stampers. I used USArt Quest beautiful Perfect Pigment Acrylic Paints. Here I used Cobalt Turquoise Hue with Titanium White added. It is just gorgeous. I cut a column from a Cottage Cutz die covered it with Artist Cement then covered it in Prills - Taken for Granite. I cut Ivy from Cottage Cutz die and covered it with Crystal Effects.
I stamped my image and embossed it with Judkins Rustique Patina Bronze. I used a water color brush to color my image using distress inks and Mica Color Water Colors. The flowers are cut using Heartfelt Creations dies with coordinating stamps and the Rose and Label dies are Spellbinders.
All of my flowers were cut from 90 lb water color paper then painted with Mica Color Water Color. Prills were added to the centers. I painted some Gold Mica on my ribbon and on the edge of my rose petals. I also added a wee bit of Crystal Effects to the edge of the rose petals. I use a wet paint brush dip it in PPA then dust on the Crystal Effects.
I hope this will start your love affair with Prills, Crystal Effects and Artist Cement. Stop over to USArt Quest and see their offerings you will be amazed.
They are running a special through January 18, 2013, details below.

another amazing card. I feel like I'm looking through a garden at someone's party, wishing I could be there, too! Love your fantasy garden party - such pretty colors and amazing use of EP and embellishments. This looks SO LINDA! xo
Okay, you sold me on prills. I think I am going to order, but can you suggest which colors? Don't think I can do them all right off.
Such an amazing card. I love all the texture and color.
